The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new arrangement that allows candidates to upload and verify their O’Level results from the comfort of their homes.
The initiative is part of the Board’s renewed effort to make its services easier, faster, safer and more convenient for candidates. Under the new system, JAMB can verify candidates’ O’Level results directly with the examination bodies responsible for conducting the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE), beginning with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).
Upload Your O’Level Result Without Visiting a CBT Centre
With the new arrangement, candidates no longer have to rely solely on manual O’Level result uploads at Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres.
Instead, candidates can initiate the verification and upload process remotely, while JAMB verifies the submitted results directly against the records of the relevant examination body.
The technology-driven process is designed to reduce unnecessary visits to CBT centres, long queues and some of the challenges associated with manual processing.
Why JAMB Introduced the New System
According to the Board, the new arrangement is also intended to address several problems associated with manual O’Level result uploads.
These challenges include:
- Misplacement or mixing up of paper results.
- Presentation of unverified or fraudulent results.
- Errors in manually entering subjects and grades.
- Delays associated with manual verification.
- Unnecessary congestion at CBT centres.
Through the integration of JAMB’s e-Facility platform with examination bodies, candidates’ results can be verified against the official records of the examination bodies before the verified results are uploaded to their JAMB profiles.
How to Verify and Upload Your O’Level Result
The process is divided into two major stages: verification of the result and upload of the verified O’Level result.
First Level: Verification of Results
1. Visit buyresultsverificationcode.ng.
2. Enter your NIN and click “Verify NIN.”
3. Select the number of sittings and the appropriate examination body or bodies, then click “Continue.”
4. Enter your email address and GSM number, then click “Pay Now.” You will be redirected to the payment gateway.
5. Make payment using your debit card or bank transfer.
6. After successful payment, enter your examination details, including:
- Examination number
- Examination series
- Examination year
7. Verify your result or results based on the number of sittings selected and proceed to obtain your Verification Code.
Second Level: Upload of O’Level Results
8. Send “VERIFY {Verification Code}” to 55019 or 66019.
9. Your result will be uploaded, and you will receive a notification.
10. Candidates with two sittings will be notified to visit their profile on JAMB e-Facility.
11. On your e-Facility dashboard, click “2026 UTME O’Level Upload.”
12. Enter your Verification Code. Your two verified results will then be displayed.
13. Select the required subjects from the displayed results. Candidates should ensure that:
- A minimum of 5 subjects is selected.
- A maximum of 9 subjects is selected.
- No subject is selected more than once.
14. Click “Apply the O’Level Results.”
15. After a successful upload, you will receive a notification confirming the submission.
A More Convenient Option for Candidates
The verification service provides candidates with a convenient alternative, particularly during periods when CBT centres experience high patronage, long queues or network challenges.
By allowing candidates to complete the process from home, JAMB is using technology to reduce physical congestion and improve the overall candidate experience.
The initiative also reflects the commitment of JAMB’s sixth Registrar, Prof. Segun Aina, to developing a more customer-oriented and technology-driven service delivery system.
The Board is expected to continue deploying technology and collaborating with relevant examination and government agencies to make its services simpler, safer and more accessible to candidates.
