The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially begun releasing admission offers for the 2025/2026 academic session. If you have been offered admission, you must accept it on the JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) before your school can process your registration.

Below is a step-by-step guide to accepting your admission both online via CAPS and through SMS.

 How to Accept Admission via SMS (USSD Method)

If you cannot access the internet, you can also check and accept admission through SMS using the code provided by JAMB.

1. Open your phone’s SMS app

2. Type the following in this format:

JAMB Registration Number ACCEPT

Example:

202550495324FF ACCEPT

3. Send to 55019 or 66019 (the same number you used for JAMB registration).

4. Wait for a reply

If admitted, you’ll get a message confirming your admission.

If not yet admitted, it will display "NOT ADMITTED" (keep checking regularly).

5. Cost: ₦50 per SMS. Ensure you have airtime.

Important Tips

Accept admission as soon as possible to avoid losing the offer.

Keep checking CAPS even after school admission lists are released — sometimes, JAMB updates later.

If you see “Not Admitted,” don’t panic. Admission is released in batches.

Make sure your O’Level result is uploaded on the JAMB portal.
