The Management of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, has officially released an important notice to guide candidates who have been offered admission for the 2025/2026 academic session. The announcement, signed by the University Registrar, Dr. Bayo Orukotan, provides detailed instructions on the admission procedure and warns candidates against fraudulent practices.
According to the notice, all candidates who have accepted their admission on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) are required to print their admission letters. Candidates are also instructed to continually check the OOU admission portal via https://portal.oouagoiwoye.edu.ng/admission/login.php until they gain full access to the student portal.
Successful candidates are expected to make payment for their acceptance fee, fill out the online biodata form accurately, and upload the necessary verification documents. After completing this process, students must pay their school fees on or before the stipulated deadline to secure their admission.
The University emphasized strongly that it does not operate through agents or intermediaries. Candidates and their parents are warned not to make any payments to individuals posing as representatives of the institution. The notice clearly states:
“PLEASE NOTE THAT THE UNIVERSITY DOES NOT HAVE ANY AGENTS! DO NOT MAKE ANY PAYMENTS TO ANY INDIVIDUALS PARADING THEMSELVES AS SUCH!”
Additionally, candidates who uploaded different or additional O’level results on JAMB CAPS after the Post-UTME exercise are required to re-upload the same results on the OOU admission portal. This is necessary to ensure verification during registration, as the O’level results on JAMB CAPS must correspond with those uploaded on the University portal.
The University further advised admitted students to disregard unverified information from unofficial sources. It assured that other vital details concerning the admission process would be communicated in subsequent notices.
This official statement serves as a vital guide to ensure that candidates admitted into OOU for the 2025/2026 academic session follow the correct procedures and avoid falling victim to fraudsters.
