Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic Releases 2025/2026 Academic Calendar

 

Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic (AAP), Ijebu-Igbo, has officially released its proposed academic calendar for the 2025/2026 session. The calendar outlines important dates, events, and academic activities for National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) students across all levels.

SIWES Programme for 2024/2025 Session

The Students’ Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) for ND I students is scheduled to commence on Monday, 25th August, 2025, and will run until Friday, 28th November, 2025.

Summer School for ND II & HND II Students

The institution has also scheduled summer classes for both ND II and HND II students. Registration will hold between 15th and 19th September, 2025, with classes beginning on 22nd September and ending on 17th October, 2025. Examinations will follow immediately from 20th to 24th October, 2025.

First Semester 2025/2026 Session

The new academic session officially kicks off on Monday, 6th October, 2025, with resumption and registration for ND I, HND I, and HND II students. Lectures will commence on 13th October, 2025, while registration closes on 28th November, 2025. ND II students will resume on 8th December, 2025, coinciding with departmental SIWES defence and report submission.

The Christmas and New Year break is slated for 23rd December, 2025, to 5th January, 2026, after which lectures resume across all levels. Other key highlights include:

ICT Training on CBT (12th – 16th January, 2026) for ND I & HND I students.

Mid-Semester Tests (2nd – 6th February, 2026).

Orientation Week & Matriculation (9th – 13th February, 2026).

First Semester Examinations (2nd – 20th March, 2026), spanning both computer-based and pen-on-paper formats.

The semester will end with a two-week break from 23rd March – 3rd April, 2026, and submission of results on 10th April, 2026.

Second Semester 2025/2026 Session

Second semester begins on 6th April, 2026, with registration closing by 1st May, 2026. Activities for the semester include:

Mid-Semester Tests (25th – 29th May, 2026).

Students’ Week/SUG Week & Sports (15th – 19th June, 2026).

CISCO Academy Examination for ND II (22nd – 26th June, 2026).

Revision Week (13th – 17th July, 2026).

Second Semester Examinations (20th July – 7th August, 2026).

The academic session officially ends on 21st August, 2026, followed by the commencement of the next SIWES programme on 24th August, 2026.
