OOU Releases 2025/2026 Admission Procedure Guidelines

The Management of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, has officially released the admission procedure for the 2025/2026 academic session. In a notice signed by the Registrar, Dr. Bayo Orukotan, the institution outlined the requirements and important steps prospective candidates must follow to secure admission.

Key Highlights of the Procedure

1. Post-UTME Participation is Compulsory

Only candidates who took part in the post-UTME screening exercise will be considered for admission.

2. Printing of Results

Applicants are required to log in to the post-UTME portal to print their results.

3. Minimum Aggregate Score

To be considered eligible for full-time admission, candidates must attain at least 40% in the final aggregate score.

The aggregate score will be calculated using the following formula:

Aggregate Score = ((UTME Score + 400) ÷ 60 × 60) + ((PUTME Score ÷ 100) × 40)

4. Admission on JAMB CAPS

All admission processes will strictly be conducted through JAMB CAPS. Candidates are advised to regularly check their JAMB CAPS portal to accept admission offers when available.

5. O’Level Result Upload

Candidates who have not uploaded their O’level results (especially the recently released 2025 NECO results) on JAMB CAPS will not be considered for admission.

6. Acceptance of Admission Offer

Candidates who are offered admission on JAMB CAPS but fail to accept the offer will not be issued an admission letter, thereby losing their chance to proceed with registration.

7. Printing of Admission Letters

Once an admission offer has been accepted, candidates should proceed to print their JAMB Admission Letter and then continue to the OOU Admission Portal for registration.

8. Programme/Course Transfer Offers

Candidates who are considered for programmes different from their initial choice must first accept the transfer offer on JAMB CAPS. Afterwards, they will have the opportunity to accept their admission before applying for a Change of Course (if necessary), which must be completed within two weeks.

Important Note: The university warned candidates not to do a Change of Course without first accepting the transfer offer.

9. Beware of Fake Information

The management urged all applicants to disregard unverified information from unofficial sources. They assured that other important details will be communicated in due time.

Final Advice to Candidates

Prospective students are strongly encouraged to adhere strictly to these guidelines in order to avoid complications during the admission process. The university has emphasized the need for timely acceptance of offers on JAMB CAPS, proper uploading of O’level results, and compliance with the official instructions.

For more updates, candidates are advised to frequently check both the JAMB CAPS portal and the OOU admission portal.
